KISSIMMEE development on the move
A piece of Osceola County's ranching history made a move to a new home Tuesday, as it made way for a future subdivision.
An early 20th century caretaker's house from the Henry O. Partin ranch made the journey by truck to Shingle Creek Regional Park, where it will serve as a welcome center and office space for the Osceola County Historical Society's Pioneer Village.
The small wooden house — with 1950s era furnishings and even shoes still inside — had sat vacant long enough to become entombed in a tangle of trees and vines that grew up around it.
